Hey there, welcome to my blog!

So here’s the thing. I’ve always wanted to start a blog of my own (and I probably have over a dozen floating on the internet) but never committed myself to it. However, as I got hold of an amazing opportunity, which I shall elaborate on in a future post, I’ve finally decided to start blogging!

Just to briefly talk about my upbringings, I am a Korean who spent the majority of my life (from kindergarten till high school) in a beautiful island called Taiwan. After high school graduation, I moved back to Korea for college and am currently majoring in International Relations at Seoul National University.

I am a lover of anything fictitious. Bring forth a movie (or a book) that is science fiction, fantasy or post-apocalyptic (specifically zombies)! I shall enjoy it regardless of how bad the reviews are. (I’d like to think I am a huge fan of the following series: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, Star Wars, and any movies directed by M. Night Shalayman, but I acknowledge that there are far more hardcore fans out there…!)

I love food. But who doesn’t. So we’ll move on. (But I do enjoy baking. I would be twice the size I am now if my Korean apartment had an oven.)

I also love music, but I’ll be frank I am quite picky as to the type of music I listen to (which is why my high school friends knew me as someone who does not listen to music. At all. But I do. So take that!). I love theme songs from movies (Michael Giacchino’s Main Theme song for Star Trek gives me immense, indescribable pleasure), songs from the 70s/80s, and I’ve recently discovered the charms of music from the 30s/40s (Billie Holiday’s I’ll be Seeing You or Dooley Wilson’s As Time Goes By).

By now you’ve probably noticed that I use parentheses quite often. I love it. It’s freaking useful. You can even make a smiling emoji with it (ex. : ) )

The picture I chose for this post is my partner-in-crime Ollie. My sister and I rescued her June 2014 when she was only one-month-old. Since then we’ve been taking care of this precious furball who has impacted my life more than anyone could possibly imagine. I love her despite her being a pig with a terrible attitude (methinks) and I’d like to think that she loves me as well (cat owners out there: are cat’s biting and scratching signs of affection…?)

Moving on…

BTW, my Korean name is Hyee Su Cho (pronounced HAE), and my English name Tiffany, which is why my blog is TiffanyHSCho.

So welcome to my blog! I hope you enjoy what you see here, and feel free to leave comments to show your support!

Have a wonderful day! :)
