The weather was incredibly amazing today (even though it doesn’t seem like it in the next picture…) so I decided to go to the city centre and look inside York Minster.

York Minster is one of the largest gothic cathedrals with the most extensive medieval stained glasses in the world.

It was honestly breathtaking inside.

It was incredible to see actual vaulted ceiling I’ve learned from art history classes.

And the stained glasses were absolutely beautiful

Next three photos are of the chapter house. It was a huge round room surrounded by stained glass windows. It was probably my favorite room in York Minster.

If you’re ever in York, do look inside York Minster. There’s even an underground museum.

You can also do a roof tour, but I opted not to do that today as an excuse to go again next time.
