I found a really relatable quote from Konah Lehrer I thought I’d share in this blog post along with photos of Amsterdam I took the two days I was there.
We travel because we need to, because distance and difference are the secret tonic of creativity. When we get home, home is still the same. But something in our mind has been changed, and that changes everything.
Photos of my travels are no longer in chronological order… There’s no reason behind it really… I guess really wanted to hold off my photos of Paris and York (places I’ve spent the most time in) until later on when I finalize my blog posts on Europe.
Anyhow, here are photos of beautiful Amsterdam I got to spend some time in with my friends. The impression Amsterdam gave me changed drastically based on the weather (though I guess this applies to every city you visit…). Brick lanes were colorful and lively on sunny days, but when it’s an overcast, the vitality seemed to have all of a sudden disappear.
I thoroughly enjoyed the architecture as well as the food(!!!) in this place.
Top three things to do in Amsterdam
- Visit Van Gogh Museum
- Eat stroopwafels
- Eat Stroopwafel McFlurry (this is a must.)
