It’s been way too long and I finally have time now to start writing again! I find myself having up to two weeks worth of contents ready to write about so I’m truly excited!
I’m going to start with where I left off, the day after I visited the Stonehenge. On Thursday, March 31st, I visited the Stourhead Garden known for its impressive landscape garden full of temples and grotto.
Stourhead is a National Trust property located in Stourton, Warminster. My reason for the visit was to see the Temple of Apollo inside the garden, where they shot Mr. Darcy’s proposal scene in the movie Pride & Prejudice. Naturally as a movie fanatic, I just had to go there.
A warning though, for someone without a car, this place is really hard to get to and for that, it was a rather stressful day for me…
But a look into the garden made me realize that it’s worth all the trouble! Here are some photos!
Here it is! The Temple of Apollo! I just couldn’t believe how I actually got to the exact location where they shot one of my favorite movies! It was absolutely surreal.
Apparently you can get married inside the temple…
Next to the garden there was the Stourhead House with a gorgeous interior.

The weather was so lovely that day and I’d imagine the garden would look even prettier in the summer!
I spent a good three hours around this place (wish I had more!) and I highly recommend both movie fans and garden lovers to come take a stroll. I know that if I had the luxury of a car in the UK, I would definitely visit this place again.
